A really nice surprise for me

That little painting of mine - “The Flowers” - has found a new home. At Mrs. Linda’s place in America. 😊

Back when I painted “The Flowers”, the evening seemed somehow sad, and I was also in a sad mood myself... Two simple flowers… I thought to myself that this painting would probably end up on a dusty shelf, because it seemed so bland… Still, painting it brought me satisfaction and joy… I was longing for something that was not there (yet)… Back then I wouldn’t have even dreamed that a so simple painting of mine will have such a joyful journey and such a joyful destiny.

“The Flowers” has been on a couple of exhibitions, although every time I had my doubts whether it would be worth the audience’s while to show it. But every time there was somebody who liked namely this one.

I’m really happy right now !

When my friend Aave told me that her daughter Annela had given my painting as a gift to her friend Linda from America, my heart started beating very fast. For quite a while. Such a thing had never happened to a painting purchased from me before. Not that I know of anyway.

Some days ago I happened to mention to my friend Maarja that it would be nice if some of my paintings found their way to America, because I will soon have visited the whole of Estonia with my paintings.
One must take care about one’s dreams and be prepared for them to fulfil in unexpected ways. Or, I guess, rather, one must dream big and courageous dreams.

Have a nice trip to your new home, my little flowers !

Bring lots of people down there joy and smiles.

This is the best gift for me and the best prize for my artist’s work !

The exhibition “My footprint in your heart” in the library of the Tallinn University of Technology that I opened on April 6th, is a little bit peculiar - together with my paintings there are also my book, my writings and poems, as well as some journals where there are articles about me. So, lots of my thoughts and creations. At the opening it seemed that the visitors felt a kinship to such kind of exhibition

These photos were made by Tiia, the artist of the Tallinn University of Technology.

Big thankyou to the personnel who were eager to have my exhibition organised there. As far as I could gather, this is the very first similar one there. And of course, a little special in that the artist creates her works with her foot.

Thank you also to Katrin, who had the idea to organize an exhibition a while ago already… And for being a friend as well as a PA at the opening. Were both a little bit nervous, but it was part of it. We managed nicely :)

This exhibition is a little bit special for myself as well - there are also my writings, and a poem among them (I already got some positive feedback which maybe will give me courage to write some more poems in the future), some journals where there are articles about me … It’s just that neither Katrin nor me have left a copy of the journal where Katrin found me as a pen-friend. It was probably back in1985, possibly even earlier. We just can’t figure out, how long we have known each other. For a lifetime !!!

Unfortunately, I keep getting praises that mostly don’t belong to me. Namely, so far the Association has not yet issued my cards or calendars, but some people think otherwise. And when I tell them tere are not my works available yet and ask them to address their praise to other talented artists they ask  why there are not yet cards made from my paintings. And the I don’t know what to answer.

On March 5th I opened an exhibition titled “Stories of the Moments” in the Daycare Centre for Disabled People in Tallinn. I also organised a workshop there under the title “The art of living and being”.

A somewhat more festive day.

Or something. Or maybe some stage of my life has passed and at the same time something is continuing or beginning.

10 Years in the VDFMK for me 😊

"The Sunflower” was painted on that occasion. The painting is not quite “ready” yet, the tassel needs some more work...
For me the sunflower is about light and something big, at the some time it still is gentle and mysterious… Maybe that tells something about me…

I hope with all my heart that I will be able to share my worldview with colours for much more time. For at least as long as there will be those who watch my works and love them.
😉

By the bye, in the beginning of 2018 there will be my exhibition in Tallinn...

A butter cookie dough cheesecake. With redcurrants. For the first time made butter cookie dough with Piret.

I started thinking about that somehow for me September has been bringing new stages of life. Now and then, after some period of time. And always towards something better, more success, more happiness, if through sweat and effort...

I wonder if for example in 10... 20 years I will be able to recall what new, exciting and good things the autumn of 2017 had in store for me... But I believe that something will have to change for better, for more exciting... For quite a few years life has been mostly about everyday routine… not exactly boring and annoying, but...

I have many big dreams, some of them might start coming true little by little😉

41 years ago I had my first day at school. I remember it quite clearly.
Today some of the children I love went to school – those from quite close and some from further away. Time passes so quickly!

In the morning Pätu and Jänks tried to share the meadow. The meadow is basically Pätu’s but she wasn’t exactly enthusiastic about eating hay. Jänks started to nibble at it heartily at once.

In general, Jänks turns out to be more active than Pätu. For example, he bites Pätu’s tail. Pätu behaves in a relatively peaceful and friendly way or just escapes to her hiding corner. Today she started sneaking after Jänks, as if she wanted to check if Jänks behaved himself.

I teach Pätu that she is smarter and older, that she must take care of Jänks, to love him and to teach him what he is and is not supposed to do.

Jänks is feeling quite at home already. At night he spends a lot of time in his cage but otherwise he doesn’t want to go there anymore. He rather sits under my computer desk when he gets tired...
'

What more do I need...
Maybe that thing what we all need – that one love… Even though my life is full of love as it is...
